Vic Mensa continues his observe report of giving again to town that made him, this time turning his consideration to the unhoused people throughout the metropolis. Becoming a member of with activist Englewood Barbie, the Chicago rapper slept on his hometown streets in help of the homeless and a brand new fundraising effort to construct a homeless shelter.
TMZ reports that Vic Mensa and Englewood Barbie gathered in a tent camp beneath a viaduct on Tuesday (Feb. 28) with temps taking place into the 30s on the ultimate evening of February. The pair launched a brand new marketing campaign that hopes to boost $1 million to go towards the constructing of a brand new homeless shelter for these presently housed within the camp.
“We outdoors tonight in Chicago sleeping beneath the viaduct, elevating cash to assist my homegirl Englewood Barbie to construct her personal housing to offer shelter to the unhoused folks of Chicago,” Mensa says in a clip from the fundraiser.
